I didn’t really connect to anything in school … I wanted to succeed, so I would work really hard and memorize things and get good grades, but I wasn’t really learning.
I wasn’t learning in a way that I needed to learn, and I feel like the arts and dance was that throughway for me and it’s allowed me to become the woman that I am because of the exposure that I’ve had, because of the tools that I’ve learned from being a part of the ballet world.
